Elijah has been eating better today, so the doctors decided to give him a day or two to keep going on his own. This is a big deal to us, that he is eating better, because it has been over three weeks that he hasn't done so on his own. If he keeps going like this, and the medication continues to do its job...hopefuly we won't be here too much longer! We try not to get our hopes up because it can change so quickly, but let's hope.

Joel, Eden and Elijah,
What a beautiful family you are! Your pictures help us to connect with you so much better, too, since we haven't seen you since before you were married! Our prayers are with all of you and we're so proud of the way you are clinging to Jehovah with this system about to end that's all we can do, right? We're so sorry you have had to go through this and hope you can get back home soon.
Love, hugs and kisses. Forever,

Hi Eden,
We are so happy to hear that Elijah is doing better. Our prayers and thoughts are with you daily and we hope to see you all back in Reno soon. Please let me know if you need me to do anything while you are away. Love to you, Simone
Dear Eden and family,
I want you to know that across all these miles, my arms are wrapped around you and you are in my prayers.
I am thrilled to read of Elijah's progress this week and appreciate access to information through this page.
Take care of yourselves, too.
Love,
Betsy Fox
We heard what was happening through the grape vine of the friends and wanted to send you all our love and let you know that you are in our prayers. Elijah is adorable and we're glad to hear of his positive progress. Stay strong and continue leaning on Jehovah and each other. When Elijah is big enough you'll have to come stay with us in Orlando and take him to Disney World!
Much Love,
Tony & Tarah (Wiebe) Reckard
Dear Joel & Eden,
You probably don't remember me Joel, but I met you at Cody's wedding, I'm his aunt & Adam's mom. I have been so concerned for your family since you were just beginning this journey when I met you. I read about hyperinsulism & the reputation of the hospital is outstanding. It sounds as though Elijah has avoided surgery to date. I just wanted to let you know many thoughts & prayers from your California friends have gone out on your behalf and we all hope you get to go home soon. Elijah is a doll! Thanks for posting, after all, we are one big family.
Love, Robin
